Hello! My name is Sophie. I'll introduce about one of the famous attractions in Korea and its name is Cheom-seong-dae in Gyeong-ju. Before I'll tell you about Cheom-seong-dae, I simply introduce about Silla Dynasty so that you can understand about Cheom-seong-dae. Silla Dynasty(57 BC ~ 935 AD) was one of the three kingdoms of Korea before Joseon Dynasty. Silla's 27th king(actually queen) was Queen Seon-Deok, and when she was queen, Cheom-seong-dae was built. Silla made Cheom-seong-dae because of watching the stars, moon and planets at night. That's why there's a small window with Cheom-seong-dae. They used that window to put the telescope to watch the universe. Cheom-seong-dae is in Gyeong-ju because Gyeong-ju was the capital city in Silla Dynasty, called Seo-ra-beol. Thank you for reading my composition. *^^*
