I think some people refuse to know it clearly because it is so hard to take. I saw a person who didn't think she would be die until at the last time before she died from cancer. Even the doctor told her the truth and she got all kind of medical cares, but she didn't realize. She probably thought her illness was very serious but she didn't think she was going to die.
